In 1987 Capcom releases their side-scrolling platformer Mega Man for the North American market. Gamers looking at the new Capcom games were introduced to the Mega Man franchise, but when gamers in North America picked the new copy of Mega Man from their local store they were met with what has been considered by some to be the worst box art in history.

Ralph Baer Dies at 92

Ralph Baer commonly known as “The Father of Video Games”, passed away Dec 6 2014.

Baer with a Bachelor of Science degree in Television Engineering from the American Institute of Technology experimenting with tv technology in the mid ’60s and by 1968 had created his prototype “Brown Box” that would eventually be released by Magnavox in 1972 as the Magnavox Odyssey.
